This scholarship is open to all American high school students in their senior year, who are planning to attend college next year for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. There are no specific merit (GPA or test score) or financial need requirements. Instead, this is an essay scholarship, so the scholarship money will be awarded based on students’ answers to the following essay prompt: “What are my academic and career goals, and how would this scholarship help me reach them?”
The scholarship search and application process can be a time-consuming drag. That’s why we’ve created our “Magical Duplicating Scholarship,” where you can apply to an initial $1000 scholarship, as well as choose to have us “auto-apply” you to any additional No Essay scholarships we (or other trusted scholarship providers) run throughout the academic year.
So no need to stress about missing application deadlines for those easy, free scholarships! Just sit back and relax, while we handle your applications for you.
When it comes to paying for your college education, #1 most important thing you can do is fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), the Department of Education’s application form to get federal financial aid. But we know that the government FAFSA® form can be confusing, especially for first-time college students.
So we’ve created a better, more user-friendly version: the FAFSA® Made Easier. It’s got simplified questions, better (and more!) help text to guide you, and the ability to skip forward and back (so you can fill out the form in the order that makes most sense for you).
But why is it important to fill out the FAFSA® anyway? Well, on average, students receive $15,000 of student aid per academic year– that can be $60,000 for four-year undergraduate students. This financial aid is usually a combination of “free money” (different types of scholarships and grants), money you work for (work-study), and (lower-interest) student loans.
Sometimes, the financial aid you get from the FAFSA® just doesn’t cut it. That’s why we’ve created a new college scholarship just for students with unmet financial need. The $1000 scholarship awards can be used at any type of higher education—at any accredited community college, trade/vocational school, four-year undergraduate college, or graduate student program in the United States.
We want to ensure that most students are eligible, so there are ZERO additional eligibility requirements (no specific field of study, full-time enrollment, ethnicity, community service, nor GPA requirement). You can truly be any kind of student, studying anything, as long as you demonstrate that you need extra financial assistance, beyond what your school’s financial aid office could offer you.
This scholarship fund will award $500 each to 2 deserving full-time students, who display both academic achievement and leadership in extracurricular activities. We’re looking for passion and depth rather than breadth: How have you really achieved within your specific area of interest or expertise?
As part of the application, we’ll ask you for your GPA, transcript, and 1-2 letters of recommendation. Once selected, the scholarship recipients will also need to show proof of college acceptance or enrollment.
