Provider: U.S. Department of State
These scholarships for study abroad award funds to students who demonstrate financial need and wish to study abroad in any country. IES Abroad awards $1,200 to students participating in summer internships both abroad and in Chicago. Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.3. Students with financial need can apply for these scholarships for study abroad from IES abroad. Scholarships can be used towards semester, year, or j-term programs in a variety of countries, including South Africa, Germany, Japan, and Chile. Pell Grant recipients are given priority. Provider: National Security Education Program
These prestigious scholarships for study abroad are awarded to students who plan to enroll in programs focused on areas, languages, and fields of study that are considered important for U.S. national security. Such areas can include sustainable development, migration, global disease, hunger, and more.
