1. Terrance Hamilton STEM Scholarship

Amount: Up to $500 for 2 recipients

Provider: Niece of Terrance Hamilton

Requirements: High school junior or senior, GPA ≥ 3.50, resident of South Carolina, must have a family income of $40k or less, must be interested in a STEM major or trade school, FAFSA, SAR, recommendation letter, transcript.

The Terrance Hamilton STEM Scholarship is awarded to honor the legacy and memory of Terrance N. Hamilton. The awards will be given to high school juniors or seniors with GPAs of 3.50+ GPA who are interested in a STEM major or trade school, and come from low-income families (earning $40,000 or less).

2. ABC Humane Wildlife Academic Scholarship – Women In STEM

Amount: Up to $1,000 per recipient

Provider: ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention, Inc.

Requirements: To apply to the ABC Humane Wildlife Academic Scholarship, the applicant must be a high school senior, college sophomore, junior, or senior, or graduate school student, must be a female, applicants must be studying or planning to study the fields of science (excluding social sciences i.e. economics), engineering, mathematics, or technology, provide a college acceptance letter, recommendation letter, and transcript.

We want to pave the way for other women pursuing their dreams in the scientific world, which is why ABC Wildlife is introducing a scholarship designed to increase the number of women studying and influencing the future of science, including technology, engineering and math.

3. John Howard Adkins Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Up to $1,000 per recipient

Provider: John Howard Adkins Memorial Fund (Charity Smith)

Requirements: Female student, GPA ≥ 3.50, must be planning a career in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a STEM major selected at the institution of choice, transcript.

The John Howard Adkins Memorial Scholarship, established in 2015, honors the memory of John Adkins. He was the father of four daughters and multiple generations who adored him. He was tough, ornery, honest and loving. Although he never attended college, he challenged all his family to work hard, do their best at anything they tried and “use their head for something besides an ear spacer”. Through his encouragement, instillation of responsibility and strong work ethic, he inspired his family every day.

4. Straight North STEM Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Provider: Straight North

Submit: Online application

Undergraduates and graduates may apply. The Straight North Scholarship supports students studying in the STEM field. Two runners-up will receive a $250 book scholarship. The scholarship requires students to fill out a quick online application.

5. Simplr Artificial Intelligence and Technology Scholarship

Amount: $7,500

Provider: Simplr

Submit: Essay (1000-2000 words)

Requirements: Undergraduates and graduates may apply. 

Simplr would like to support a passionate student determined to continue the growth of the tech sector. Applicants for the Simplr Artificial Intelligence and Technology Scholarship must be studying Computer Science (CS), Mathematics, Information Technology (IT), or are attending or will attend law school.



6. MyBioSource Inc. Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

Amount: $1,000

Provider: MyBioSource

Submit: Essay (250 words)

Requirements: High School Senior, undergraduates, graduates and international students with a must have a documented learning disability, application, 250-word essay on why you chose intended college major and why you should receive the scholarship.

7. Lounge Lizard Web Design Scholarship (Fall)

Amount: $1,000

Provider: Lounge Lizard

Submit: Website Design (your own creation)

Requirements: Students attending an accredited school, or set to start an accredited school in the United States may apply. The web design can be submitted as a PDF, PSD, or URL.

When submitting an application for the Lounge Lizard Web Design Scholarship, students are encouraged to get creative by submitting a design or live URL with their best web design.

9. GeneTex Scholarship

Amount: $2,000

Provider: GeneTex

Requirements: Must be in good standing, enrolled at an accredited college or university, declared STEM major, undergraduates and graduates may apply. 

GeneTex would like to support students studying STEM in higher education. The GeneTex Scholarship is open to international students.

10. “Crack the DAT” Pre-Dental Scholarship

Amount: Up to $1,000

Provider: Crack DAT

Submit: Essay (1-2 pages)

Requirements: Applicants must be at least a college junior to apply, must be pursuing dentistry, resume or CV, photo, transcript, DAT score report, video clip introducing yourself. 

The “Crack the DAT” Pre-Dental Scholarship considers academic merit, community service, and financial need, encouraging pre-dental students to pursue a career in dentistry.

11. HTR Annual Scholarship (Fall)

Amount: $1,000

Provider: Hartford Technology Rental

Submit: Essay 

Students can submit an essay via download or use the essay box to apply. The HTR Annual Scholarship (Fall) asks students to describe how they use technology in everyday life.

12. HTR Annual Scholarship (Spring)

Amount: $1,000

13. BluePay STEM Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Provider: BluePay

Requirements: Undergraduates and Graduates may apply. The BluePay STEM Scholarship supports students majoring in a STEM field of study. 

BluePay encourages students pursuing degrees in STEM disciplines with this scholarship award. Two runners-up will be awarded $250 book scholarships.

14. CSI Executive Search STEM Scholarship (Fall)

Amount: $1,000

Provider: CSI Executive Search

Submit: Essay (500-1000 words)

Requirements: Undergraduates and master’s students  in STEM majors may apply, must be a U.S. citizen, complete the online scholarship application.   

The CSI Executive Search STEM Scholarship (Fall) was created to promising STEM students, and asks students to explain why they chose a STEM field, who influenced their journey in STEM, and to explain their ultimate goal.

15. CSI Executive Search STEM Scholarship (Spring)

Amount: $1,000

Provider: CSI Executive Search

Submit: Essay (500-1000 words)

Requirements: Undergraduates and master’s students  in STEM majors may apply, must be a U.S. citizen, complete the online CSI Executive Search STEM Scholarship (Spring) application.   

16. IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative

Amount: $7,000

Provider: IEEE Power & Energy Society

To apply to the IEEE PES Scholarship using the online application, applicants must consider a career in electric power and energy engineering, working towards an electrical engineering bachelor’s degree, full-time student in the coming academic year, U.S. or Canadian citizen, 3.0 GPA, will take or have taken at least three of the power engineering courses for a total of nine or more credits.

Students in university or community college that are a U.S., Puerto Rican, or Canadian citizen or permanent resident and reside in IEEE Regions 1 through 7 may apply. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers provide the awardee with $2,000 the first two years of the scholarship, and $3,000 during the third year. Awardee is expected to maintain a B or better GPA for scholarship renewal.

17. Supporting STEM Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Provider: B&G Refrigeration

Submit: Online application, must be an undergrad or high school senior, minimum 3.0 GPA, full-time enrollment of 12 credit hours or more per college term, declare a STEM major, reside in the U.S.

High school seniors and undergraduates may apply. The Supporting STEM Scholarship helps students in the STEM field to work in fields that improve the economy and help the business industry.

18. West Virginia Engineering, Science and Technology Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $3,000 per year

Provider: West Virginia State Legislature

Submit: Online application

Requirements: U.S. citizen, 3.0 GPA, Enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an engineering, science, or technology program leading to a certificate or an associate or bachelor’s degree at an eligible institution of higher education.

The West Virginia Engineering, Science and Technology Scholarship Program encourages students with exceptional academic achievements to pursue STEM-related careers. Priority will be given to residents of West Virginia.

19. James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Scholarship

Amount: Up to 97% of tuition, capped at $25,000 per year

Provider: James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation

Submit: Online application

Requirements: U.S. Citizen, 3.0 GPA, major in technology, engineering, math, or metals, enrolled in undergraduate or trade school programs, video and essay, and complete an interview if selected as a finalist.

The James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded to 8-10 students to help fund up to 97% of tuition. Students studying a STEM-related field are encouraged to apply.

20. Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Amount: Up to $5,000

Provider: Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Submit: Online application

Requirements: (a) Must be of Hispanic heritage, (b) Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students, Minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for undergraduate and graduate students, (c) Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2020-2021 academic year US Citizen, (d) Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA). The Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides funding college opportunities for students of Hispanic heritage. These are merit-based scholarships, ranging from $500 to $5,000, with an emphasis on STEM majors.

21. ScholarshipSHPE

Amount: Varies

Provider: Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

Submit: Online application

Requirements: (a) Pursuing for a STEM degree program, (b) All degree programs must be in the U.S. or Puerto Rico, (c) Be a full-time student and meet GPA requirements for both terms to be eligible for both disbursements, (d) a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. The ScholarshipSHPE awards more than 150 scholarships totalling over $340,000 to provide scholarships for Hispanic students pursuing a STEM degree. They aim to narrow the gap and help Hispanic students complete their bachelor’s degree with college tuition.

22. VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $3,500

Provider: NASA and the Commonwealth of Virginia contributions

Submit: Online application

Requirements: To qualify for the VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program applicants must be (a) U.S. citizen, (b) Enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours) at one of the five Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions: Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, The College of William and Mary, or Hampton University, (c) Must have completed at least two years of a STEM undergraduate program and be classified as a junior or senior during the 2020-2021 academic year (must have at least junior status by summer 2020 if choosing this option), (d) Must be in a program of study demonstrating an interest in STEM and supporting NASA’s mission, (e) GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

23. Latinos in Technology Scholarship

Amount: Up to $30,000

Provider: Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley

Submit: Online application

Requirements: (a) Must be of Latino or Hispanic origin, (b) Have a declared major in and been accepted into a STEM program, (c) Minimum GPA of 3.0.

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley awards the Latinos in Technology Scholarship to up to 100 Latino students who are studying a STEM-related field. Scholarship recipients will also be presented with internship opportunities to continue learning and gaining experience in the field.

24. Woodrow Wilson Georgia Teaching Fellowship

Amount: $10,000

Provider: The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation

Requirements: (a) Have majored in or received 30+ college credits in a STEM-related field, (b) U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, (c) Minimum GPA of 3.0, (d) Have earned or expect to earn a Bachelor’s degree by the specified date. For more information, please visit the scholarship website.

The Woodrow Wilson Georgia Teaching Fellowship aims to attract students with a background in STEM-related fields who have an interest in teaching in high-need Georgia schools. This scholarship includes a $10,000 stipend for a Master’s program at one of two participating universities, teacher certification, support and mentoring, and a lifelong membership into the national network of Woodrow Wilson Fellows. Recipients must commit to teaching for three years in a high-need urban or rural secondary school for one full year.

25. Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship

Amount: $7,000

Requirements: (a) Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited US, Canadian or Mexican college/university enrolled in the current and upcoming school year. The Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship was launched in 2010 to encourage and support women starting careers in the technology field. The program includes sessions for professional development, engineer discussions, and other social activities at a full-day, all-expenses paid developmental workshop.
