Requirements: Applicants of the Kiwanis Pueblo de San Jose Turn Around Returning Student Scholarship must be an undergraduate or graduate student, applicant must have already been awarded the Kiwanis Turnaround Scholarship before, must have confronted serious personal problems which may include substance abuse and addiction, abusive parents and guardians, economic hardship, homelessness, physical handicap or illness challenges.

Recipients are those courageous young people who have overcome these obstacles and are looking forward to obtaining a 4-year college/university, a community college degree, or attending a trade school. The number of scholarships and amounts given annually is dependent upon funds available for Turnaround Scholarship recipients.

Google supports the work of Lime Connect by providing scholarships to computer science students with disabilities. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students in the U.S. or in Canada, pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree. Students must have a visible or invisible disability and demonstrate leadership in the computer science and technology fields. To apply for the Google Lime Scholarship, applicants must log in or join The Lime Network to submit a current resume, transcripts, five essays, and one letter of recommendation.

43. Annual Signet Classics Student Scholarship

Signet Classics is the publisher for over 300 of the greatest literary works. Each year, the Signet Calssics Student Scholarship aims to celebrate one of the books in that collection. Applicants must write an essay on one of five topics for the current competition book. For 2019, it’s Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. High school juniors and seniors, including home-schooled students aged 16 to 18, may apply.  A high school English teacher (or parent/legal guardian for home-schooled students) must submit the essay on behalf of the students. 

44. Doodle 4 Google Scholarship

Requirements: Submit a creative illustration with Google’s name in it

The Doodle 4 Google Scholarship sets out to award creative students! Students may submit a doodle illustrating the search engine name using any materials they’d like. Students must also include a doodle description – an artist statement explaining the doodle and how it represents something that inspires the student. Doodles will be judged based on artistic merit, creativity, and theme communication (how well the student expresses the theme in the artwork and written statement). Parents and teachers must submit the student’s entry form or submit it online as an image file (.png or .jpg).

If you’re exceptionally height-advantaged, the Tall Clubs International Foundation Scholarship might just be the scholarship for you. The application calls for men and women under 21 who are entering their freshman year of college. The minimum height requirements for membership in Tall Clubs International is 5’ 10” for women and 6’ 2” for men.
