5. The Health Collective LGBTQIA+ Scholarship

Every year, The Health Collective and New Haven Pride Center proudly honor and support students who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community. 6. ABC Humane Wildlife Academic Scholarship – Women In STEM

7. Duck® Brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship

Get creative! Applicants for the Duck® Brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship must create and wear original promwear using Duck® brand crafting tape, and then submit a photograph wearing the Duck® dress or tux. 10. William Griggs Memorial Scholarship for Science and Math

Requirements: Applicant must be a female high school senior or current undergraduate student, pursuing a degree in math or science.

William grew up in rural New York and quickly developed a love for science, tinkering, and pushing the limits of possibility. William took this passion and his curious nature to launch a career as an aeronautical engineer working on groundbreaking projects, including the Saturn V Rocket that delivered astronauts to the moon for the Apollo missions. William encouraged his daughters to engage in science and mathematics, building their confidence and teaching them how to take risks based on methodical preparation and knowledge.

11. Eleanor Anderson-Miles Foundation Scholarship

Eleanor Anderson-Miles was a true educator who embodied the importance of equal access to higher education for all, regardless of economic circumstance. In order to ensure positive educational outcomes, Eleanor believed that an individual needed four things: support, access, funding, and drive. She also thought that every person has a different puzzle that makes up their life, with many people lacking some or all of the four necessary things.

The Eleanor Anderson-Miles Foundation scholarship seeks to create a path for students to develop themselves through access to education in hopes to create a foundation for academic, emotional, and social success.

12. A Heroes Family Scholarship

As one small way to help the families of first responders, the A Heroes Family Scholarship exists to provide financial support for a student who has lost a parent or spouse to an on-duty tragedy of a first responder. This includes those in law enforcement, fire, or the military.
