McDonald’s provides college funding to students of Hispanic heritage with awards of up to $100,000. McDonald’s Scholarship winners are selected based on academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, and a personal interview.

2. The Gates Scholarship

Awarded to 300 of the top student leaders, The Gates Scholarship recognizes students with great leadership abilities, personal success skills, and an exceptional high school academic record. The scholarship funds the full cost of attendance, including tuition, room, board, books, transportation, and may include personal costs to attend college.

3. Goldman Sachs MBA Fellowship

Amount: $35,000, plus Summer Associate salary

• Pursuing a 2020 Summer Associate position at Goldman Sachs

The Goldman Sachs MBA Fellowship awards students who demonstrate exceptional business principles and achievements to gain the experience they need. They’ll have the opportunity to complete a summer internship and receive a full-time offer, including an additional $40,000, plus full-time Associate signing bonus if applicable.

4. Latinos in Technology Scholarship

Amount: Up to $30,000

Provider: Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley

Requirements:

• Accepted to or enrolled in a STEM program

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley awards the Latinos in Technology Scholarship to up to 100 Latino students who are studying a STEM-related field. Scholarship recipients will also be presented with internship opportunities to continue learning and gaining experience in the field.

5. Jackie Robinson Scholarship

Amount: $30,000

Provider: Jackie Robinson Foundation

Requirements: 

• Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Asian American, and/or Pacific Islander
• Plan to attend a four year college within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university
• Graduating high school senior

Given in honor of the groundbreaking presence of Jackie Robinson, this scholarship funds four years of higher education for students of color. The Jackie Robinson Scholarship seeks to reward students who have demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to community service. Students who are selected for this scholarship program are also given the opportunity to attend an annual leadership conference in New York City sponsored by the foundation.

6. ExxonMobile Engineering Scholarship

Amount: Up to $20,000

The ExxonMobil Engineering Scholarship encourages Hispanic high school seniors who are pursuing a degree in engineering. There is one scholarship awarded for $20,000, paid over four years, and twelve scholarships awarded for $2,000.

7. The Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship

9. Univision NATAS Scholarship

10. Hispanic Scholarship Fund

11. NBCUniversal LNESC Scholarship

The NBCUniversal/LNESC Scholarship helps fund the education of undergraduate Latino students pursuing a degree in the media and entertainment industry. The scholarship is divided into two disbursements of $2,500 for the fall and spring.

12. El Café Del Futuro Scholarship

The El Café Bustelo Scholarship aims to invest in the Latino community by awarding those who seek better futures for themselves, their families and their communities. They’re looking for motivated college students with a passion for community involvement and furthering their education. Since the scholarship began in 2014, $550,000 in college funds have been awarded to 110 Latino students nationwide through the partnership.

13. LULAC National Scholarship Fund

Amount: Up to $2,000

Provider: League of United Latin American Citizens

Requirements: 

• U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or DACA recipient
• Planning to or currently enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student, including 2 year colleges or vocational schools. 
• Cannot be related to a scholarship committee member, the Council President, or an individual contributor to the local funds of the Council
• Residing in one of the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin

LNESC and LULAC partnered to establish the LULAC National Scholarship Fund to assist youth in underserved communities. Every dollar raised by local LULAC Councils will be matched by corporate partners secured by LNESC, which increases the scholarship award amount. Candidates apply for this scholarship via their local area LULAC council. 

14. Prospanica Foundation Scholarships

Requirements: The eligibility for the Prospanica Foundation Scholarships depends upon meeting the following requirements: 

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for full-time students
• Minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale for students with two years of full-time work experience

The Prospanica Foundation funds the education of undergraduate and graduate students in the Hispanic community who aim to make meaningful contributions to the community and reach their full educational potential. Scholarship awards range from $2,000 to $5,000.

15. ScholarshipSHPE

ScholarshipSHPE awards more than 200 scholarships totalling over $1,000,000 to provide scholarships for Hispanic students pursuing a STEM degree. They aim to help Hispanic students complete their bachelor’s degree by defraying the cost of college tuition.

16. ACS Scholars Program

Amount: Up to $5,000 per academic year

Provider: American Chemical Society

• Majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or another chemistry-related science

The ACS Scholars Program provides financial aid to underrepresented minority students who are majoring in chemistry-related disciplines. About 350 students receive over $1 million in scholarship awards per academic year. More than 3,500 students to date have received college funding from the program. 

17. Actuarial Diversity Scholarship

Provider: The Actuarial Foundation

Requirements: 

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• At least one birth parent who is Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American, or Pacific Islander
• Pursuing a career in the actuarial profession

The Actuarial Foundation provides scholarship awards of $1,000-$4,000 for students from at least one of the following minority groups: Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American, and Pacific Islander. The Actuarial Diversity Scholarship recognizes achievements of undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in the actuarial profession, an industry related to asset management and liability management.

18. Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards

Amount: $3,500

Provider: Hispanic Heritage Foundation

• Hispanic (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)

The Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who demonstrate involvement in their community and an exceptional academic record. Students are recognized in the following categories: Business & Entrepreneurship, Community Service, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, and Technology & Engineering. The Youth Awards recognizes students to provide a one-time grant for their college education, or to fund a community service effort to help position students as community leaders.

19. Spectrum Scholarship Program

Amount: $5,000

Provider: American Library Association (ALA)

Requirements: 

• American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern/North African, and/or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander
• U.S. or Canadian citizen
• Attending an ALA-accredited graduate program in library and information studies

The Spectrum Scholarship Program awards minority students to assist them with obtaining a graduate degree, as well as leadership positions within ALA. They encourage students who are pursuing a graduate degree in library and information studies, and may receive additional benefits, such as a complimentary, one-year student ALA membership.

20. AICPA Scholarship Award for Minority Accounting Students

Provider: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Requirements: 

• MInimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Black or African American; Hispanic or Latino; Native American; Pacific Islander; or Asian American
• Enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate program in the U.S. or its territories
• Majoring in accounting or an accounting-related major
• Planning to pursue the CPA licensure but not presently be a CPA
• Completed at least 30 semester hours of coursework, including at least 6 semester hours in accounting

One of many AICPA Legacy Scholarships, the AICPA Scholarship Award for Minority Accounting Students focuses on increasing the presence of ethnically-diverse CPA professionals. Students will submit one scholarship application to be evaluated for all awards they’re eligible for in the program.

21. ABA Diversity Scholarship

The AMS Minority Scholarships provide scholarship opportunities to minority students who are often underrepresented in the sciences. Members of the American Meteorological Society 100th Anniversary Program donate to the scholarship to help provide benefits to a diverse community and promote inclusion in atmospheric, oceanic, and hydrologic sciences.

23. Minority Teacher Education Scholarship

Provider: Florida Fund for Minority Teachers

Requirements:

• Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

• Have completed 60 credits or AA degree but no more than 18 hours of upper division education courses

The Florida Fund for Minority Teachers grants scholarships to African American/Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Hispanic/Latino, or Asian American/Pacific Islander students who have been accepted into a qualifying teacher education program in the state of Florida. 

After graduation, Minority Teacher Education Scholarship recipients are required to teach one year in a Florida public school for each year they received the scholarship. There they can receive additional mentoring from current staff.

24. William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship

Amount: $4,000

Provider: Indiana Commission for Higher Education

Requirements:

• Minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

With the dream of diversifying leadership in Indiana classrooms, the William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship provides $4,000 to African American or Hispanic students interested in majoring or minoring in elementary, secondary, or special education.

25. Minority Teachers of Illinois (MTI) Scholarship Program

The MTI Scholarship Program awards Illinois students who plan to teach within the state. Students must plan to teach at a nonprofit Illinois public, private or parochial preschool, elementary school, or secondary school in which the enrolled students include no less than 30 percent of African American/Black, Hispanic American, Asian American or Native American origin.

26. Jose Marti Scholarship Challenge Grant Fund

Florida students who were born in, or who have parents who were born in, Mexico, Spain, or a Hispanic country of the Caribbean, South America, or Central America are eligible to apply for this $2,000 scholarship, which grants $1,000 per semester. The Jose Marti Scholarship Challenge Grant Fund can provide funding for a maximum of four semesters or six quarters to eligible graduate students.

27. Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship

The Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship Program asks students, “What Drives Your Dream?” to encourage students to pursue a college degree. Students attending specific schools in North Texas and school districts in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio are eligible to apply for this scholarship award.

28. Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship

Amount: Up to $1,850

Provider: State of Kansas

Requirements: 

• Resident of Kansas
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Full-time enrollment at a Kansas community college or four-year university

• Minimum ACT score of 21 or SAT score of 990

• Completion of Kansas Scholars Curriculum Selection by National Merit Corporation in any category  
• Selection by College Board as a Hispanic Scholar 

In an effort to promote diversity and education, the Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship grants up to $1,850 per year to African American, Alaskan Native, American Indian, Asian, Pacific Islander, or Hispanic students. Candidates should demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.

29. PMAHCC Foundation Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $2,500

Provider: Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Requirements: 

• Resident of Pennsylvania in one of the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Westmoreland or Washington County

The PMAHCC Foundation Scholarship Program provides grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to students. Grant amounts are evaluated based on individual need or merit for each applicant.

30. VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $8,500

Provider: NASA and the Commonwealth of Virginia contributions

Requirements: 

• Resident of Virginia
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

The VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program awards one-year, non-renewable scholarships. It aims to promote undergraduate STEM research and encourage participation in STEM-related careers with underrepresented minorities, females, and students with disabilities.

31. ALCOA Fund Scholarship

Amount: Up to $5,000

Provider: The Cleveland Foundation

Requirements: 

• Resident of Ohio
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• African-American or Hispanic
• Enrolled or currently attending a two or four year educational institution in Ohio for a minimum of 6 credit hours/term or a vocational training program in Ohio
• Graduate of a high school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District or a Catholic school in the Greater Cleveland area

The ALCOA Fund Scholarship aims to offer scholarship opportunities for underserved and underrepresented populations. These students must be graduates of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District or a Catholic school in Greater Cleveland (preferably Cuyahoga County). As long as the funds are available and the student continues to meet the scholarship requirements, this is a scholarship award that can be renewed annually for up to 4 years.

32. Study Abroad Scholarship in BiH for American Minority Students

Amount: Up to $2,000

Provider: Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina

Requirements: 

• African American, Hispanic American, or Native American 
• Undergraduate or graduate students 

Minority students interested in learning about the countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The awards for the Study Abroad Scholarship in BiH for American Minority Students range from $500 to $2,000 to help students study abroad for one semester.

33. Be The Change Minority Nursing Scholarship

The Be The Change Minority Nursing Scholarship will award $1000 each to 5 deserving students from underrepresented backgrounds in nursing. Recipients must be current or admitted nursing students attending institutions in North Carolina.

34. Macy’s Emergency Scholarship Fund

• Resident of Puerto Rico
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Enrolled full-time at a college or university

The Macy’s Emergency Scholarship Fund awards students who are facing economic hardship and immediate monetary need. Emergency financial need may include but is not limited to a change in family income, job loss, burglary, or natural disaster.

Macy’s Emergency Scholarship Funds are non-renewable and applicants cannot be recipients of other LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) Scholarships at the time of application. Award amounts vary based on need, but should not exceed $500.

35. Institute for Cultural Initiatives Scholarship

The Institute for Cultural Initiatives Scholarship supports bi-lingual (Spanish/English) Latino students attending a community college in Oregon, and the award may be renewed for up to four years (but the winner must re-apply).

36. Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids Minority Scholarship

39. Latino Community Credit Union Scholarship

Extra consideration is given to students and/or their families who use the LCCU as their primary financial institution. The Latino Community Credit Union Scholarship has awarded over $455,000 in scholarships since 2016.  

40. Dream Corps TECH Scholarship Fund
