1. Orrstown Bank Foundation Inc. Scholarship

The Orrstown Bank Foundation Inc. Scholarship annually awards scholarships to eligible high school seniors attending secondary schools within the core communities that Orrstown Bank serves.

The Scholarship Committee will review all materials submitted by an applicant. Due consideration will be given to factors that include, but are not necessarily limited to: academic achievement, test scores, service to the school and community, leadership, and financial need. No distinction or consideration shall be made with respect to race, color, religion, national origin, gender or sex, age, or marital status.

Amount: Up to $1,000

2. Shastri Ali Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Shastri Ali Memorial Scholarship recipients will be awarded $500 to use for tuition, required class books, and/or approved education fees. All funds will be sent to the winner’s college account. No funds will be given directly to the student.

Scholarship winner selection will be made by at least one member of the scholarship sponsor (family member) and two advisors from the club.

Amount: Up to $500

Provider: Shastri Ali Memorial Fund (Charity Smith)

3. Letitia B. Carter Scholarship

The Letitia B. Carter Scholarship is presented by the Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation in memory of the former CEO of the Restaurant Association of Maryland. This competitive scholarship is awarded to Maryland residents interested in pursuing hospitality-related coursework. It is available to high school students and college students as well as high school, college, or corporate instructors and current hospitality industry professionals.

Amount: Up to $2,000

Provider: Maryland Restaurant Association

4. Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts (VAIC) Scholarship Program

The Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel who served in the Afghanistan or Iraq Conflicts, and their sons, daughters, or spouses who are current high school seniors, and full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled in an eligible accredited Maryland postsecondary institution.

Amount: Up to 50% of annual tuition and mandatory fees, and room and board

Provider: Maryland Higher Education commission

5. The Esperanza Education Fund

The Esperanza Education Fund provides college scholarships and professional mentorship to local immigrant students regardless of national origin, ethnicity, or immigration status.

Amount: Up to $20,000

Provider: The Esperanza Education Fund
