1. Cindy Mellen Stier Memorial Scholarship

Provider: Cindy Mellen Stier Memorial Fund

Amount: Up to $1,000

The Cindy Mellen Stier Memorial Scholarship is an annual one-time award given to a graduating high school senior intent on entering the field of education. The award is given with the hope that it may, in some way, help to flame the passion for education and learning that the late Cindy Mellen Stier so genuinely shared with those around her.

2. Terrance Hamilton STEM Scholarship

Provider: Niece of Terrance Hamilton

Amount: Up to $500 for 2 recipients

The Terrance Hamilton STEM Scholarship is to honor the legacy and memory of Terrance N. Hamilton. The awards will be given to high school juniors or seniors with GPAs of 3.50+ GPA who are interested in a STEM major or trade school, and come from low-income families (earning $40,000 or less).

3. Justice for All Community Impact Scholarship

Provider: Kelly Villwock

Amount: Up to $500

The Justice for All Community Impact Scholarship will be granted to the student who demonstrates a commitment to creating social change in Colleton County, South Carolina. This will be shown through a record of community service, academic achievement, and a brief essay regarding the mission of the scholarship and the student’s vision for public service.

4. James O. Thomason Scholarship

Provider: Hampton Wildlife Fund

Amount: Up to $8,000

The James O. Thomason Scholarship consists of $2,000* annually, for up to four (4) consecutive years, to help a student further their education in print or photo journalism, advertising, public relations or mass communications. Applicants are thoroughly screened, interviewed and a winner selected through a comprehensive process established by the Board of Directors.

5. South Carolina Federal Credit Union Scholarship

Provider: South Carolina Federal Credit Union

Amount: Up to $50,000

To apply for the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Scholarship, the applicant must be planning to attend a traditional college/university on a full-time basis or a specialized/technical college/university on a part-time or full-time basis, in South Carolina.
